GospelRelay (“we,” “us”) provides live, AI-assisted audio translation for churches and events. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices. We built GospelRelay to collect as little personal information as possible.
What we collect
Church accounts. When you register a church we store the church name, your name, email, the church’s address, your phone number, and the web address (subdomain) you choose. Phone numbers are used only to sign you in by text message.
Listeners. People who scan a code and listen are anonymous. We do not require a name, account, email, or phone number to listen. We keep only non-identifying counts (such as how many people are listening) and any rating or comment a listener chooses to leave.
Payments. Donations are processed by Stripe. Card numbers and billing details are handled entirely by Stripe and never touch our servers. We keep only a payment reference, the amount, and whether it succeeded.
Sign-in codes. One-time text codes are generated and checked by Twilio. We do not store the codes.
How we use it
To operate the service: run translation sessions, sign account holders in, show a church its events, process donations, prevent abuse, and keep the service secure. We do not sell personal information.
Audio
Spoken audio is streamed to our translation provider (OpenAI) in real time to produce the translated audio and on-screen text. We do not record or store the audio of a service to build a permanent archive; audio is processed live to deliver the translation.
Sharing
We share information only with the service providers that make GospelRelay work — Stripe (payments), Twilio (text-message sign-in), OpenAI (translation), and our hosting/CDN providers — and only as needed to provide the service, or when required by law.
Retention & your choices
We keep account information while your church uses GospelRelay and for a reasonable period afterward. Donation records are retained as required for accounting and tax. You may ask us to access or delete your account information at any time by emailing [email protected].
Children
GospelRelay is intended for use by churches and adults acting on their behalf. It is not directed to children, and account holders must be 18 or older.
Changes
We may update this policy; we will post the new date above. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated policy.
